Charlie Rumbelow
Event Chair
Dear family, friends and descendants
In my first official communication for 2025, I send New Year best wishes from the Rumbelow 170 Celebration Committee. From a field of one, I managed to elbow myself to the front and achieved the position of Committee Chair unopposed. An outstanding accomplishment!
I thank my fellow volunteers who are working to make the 170th Celebration a success.

The celebration organisers are looking forward to events which will commemorate and celebrate the history of our pioneering families for their heroism and stoicism throughout the years. We will gather on Saturday 29 March for dinner at the Encounter Bay Football Club, 6.00pm, and at the Rumbelow Cairn on the foreshore, at 10.30am on Sunday 30 March 2025. More to follow.
Respected Journalist Arch Grosvener's article "A Family of Tragedy and Valor" sets the tone for the gathering, while the Peter Matthews Collection of fisherman portraits will be on view at the Encounter Bay Football Club.

With 3 months to go, our committee is keen to build upon recent publicity and ensure we can allocate as many event tickets as possible.
