This book was launched at the Rumbelow 150 Celebration on 16th April 2005, honouring the arrival of Malen and Alice Rumbelow with their children at Encounter Bay 150 years prior.

It has been created from the enormous amount of research undertaken by Mary George and Lesley Avery, who had been acting independently until they recently discovered each other and pooled their knowledge, for which we are extremely grateful.

For Lesley and Mary, the task of collecting information continues, and they would be pleased to accept additional information for any of the generations via email at familytree@rumbelow.net.

Additional information has also been graciously received from Lindsay Watson, Carlene Oliver and Phylis Rumbelow.

The challenging task of making the final presentation of this book as attractive and easy to follow as possible, has been performed by Matt Rumbelow.

My thanks to those mentioned above and all others who made information or photographs available. I also recognize and appreciate the patience and support of our partners as we immersed ourselves in the task of creating this record.

The Rumbelow 150 Celebration Committee comprised Peter and Genevieve Rumbelow, Don and Lesley Rumbelow, Kay Ewen and Carlene Oliver.

This group, with help from others, spent many hours planning and organising the gathering of approximately five hundred descendants at Encounter Bay.
