My name is Gail and my parents came to Canada from England 59 years ago. They are from Devon in Exeter and Crediton to be exact. My family has always wondered if there were more with our last name, but we have never met anyone until a few years ago when I got a letter in my mail box addressed to Nicole Rumbelow.
Well to my surprise there was no Nicole Rumbelow at this address and it was nice to meet her when I did find her just down the road from where I was living. To my surprise she looked a lot like my niece.
That was the last time that I talked to Nicole, but I did have correspondence with her dad who was from Australia and that was nice to do. Well I am not sure how my family fits in with the rest of this great big Rumbelow clan, but I am sure hoping to find out. Thanks for letting me write my story and hope to chat with all in the future. Take care and enjoy your day.

Rumbelow Cyril Douglas passed away suddenly at home on January 18, 2020 at the age of 87. He was married to Doreen May Rumbelow (nee Strong) with five children David, Karen, Laurie, Susan and Gail.
Cyril was born in the UK to parents Warren Galin Rumbelow and Lillian May Groves in Fairfield Terrace Alphington Exeter.
He has nieces and nephews and many great grandchildren and many grandchildren that will miss him terribly. He was a frail but brave man, weak but strong man and our father that carried on until the very end. He will be missed everyday by his family. A graveside memorial will be held in the spring.
