Maryville 9 Russell Street Maryville was built around 1880 from local limestone. In 1883 Malen Rumbelow 2nd was recorded as the owner. It is likely that the name came from Malen’s wife, Mary nee Glassenbury
Yeah trying to find out more. Gone back through old titles and it was in malin 2nd name. Then to william then his wife jane who was a pearce then to lawrence rumbelow ended up with a moffatt who was who was ruth rumbelow. But all seems a bit funny due to crystal palace. Will keep researching.
Lesley, I think it may be a photo of Laurie and Iris Rumbelow's home in Russell St, Yilki. I'm not 100 % but I'm also thinking the street name way back was William St until council changed it. My grandfather, Lionel built two blocks further to the west. Lindsay Watson's family had a small place next door to the east
